Why having the spare wheel in the back is gay

Most people never use their "emergency only" spare since most of the time it's a completely different "lesser rated" wheel and tire that is back spare to access; that's obviously not the case with the wheel / tire that comes on the Wrangler. My bonnet is the dished type for mounting the wheel but I dont carry a spare, the bonnet is too heavy to lift with a spare on it.
